Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Glasgow is seeking a Site Engineer (Geologist / Ground Investigations) to lead on-site geotechnical investigations, supervise teams, and ensure technical and HSEQ compliance on projects.

You will log soils and rock samples, carry out field testing, and contribute to reporting while travelling to various sites across Scotland. A degree in Geology or Earth Sciences and hands-on site experience are essential; MS Office skills and a UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
• 6–12 months site investigation contracting experience.
• Contractor background with hands-on field work.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willing to travel to various sites.

Responsibilities

Ground Investigation Contractor

Site based - Glasgow / Scotland

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site.
• Ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense.
• Logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

• Qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Earth Sciences).
• Minimum of 6-12 months site investigation contracting experience.
• Contractor background, including hands-on field experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Required to travel to various sites.
