Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property seeks an experienced Site Engineer with a strong earthworks background for an immediate contract in East Anglia, with a long-term West Midlands pathway. Role involves setting out, geospatial measurement, volumetric surveys, and close collaboration with site teams.

Expect ongoing work through Jan 2027 and potential extensions; daily rate £350, with travel or lodging as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Site Engineer on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Specialist earthworks and bulk earthmoving experience.
• Proficiency with Trimble Earthworks technology (Tribol) preferred.
• Valid CSCS card (Engineering supervisor or equivalent).
• Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Full UK driving license; willing to travel or lodge for West Midlands projects.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Oversee setting out for major earthworks and infrastructure activities.
• Utilise total stations and GPS on-site for accurate measurements.
• Conduct volumetric surveys and manage machine control systems.
• Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors and earthworks gangs.
• Maintain site records, QA docs and as-built drawings.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards on site.
