Job summary

RTL Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a major highways and earthworks project in Northampton.

You will support the delivery of earthworks and associated highways infrastructure, working closely with the Site Agent and the wider project team. Key responsibilities include setting out, checking levels, forming earthworks, reading drawings, and maintaining QA records while coordinating with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer in highways/civil engineering.
• Strong setting out experience.
• Previous earthworks experience is essential.
• Competent using surveying equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS certification required.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying for earthworks and highways works.
• Checking levels, lines and gradients.
• Supporting bulk earthworks and formation works.
• Carrying out site measurements and maintaining accurate records.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Completing quality assurance and inspection records.
• Liaising with site management and subcontractors.
• Monitoring works against drawings, specifications and tolerances.
• Reporting progress and technical issues to the Site Agent / Project Manager.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with RAMS.
