Job summary

Randstad CPE London is seeking a Site Engineer - Civils for a contract role in Inverness, Scotland. You will work across earthworks, reinforced concrete structures, and roadworks within a large infrastructure project.

The ideal candidate has broad civil engineering experience, can read reinforcement drawings, and is comfortable operating across multiple disciplines as the project progresses through construction stages.

Qualifications

• Well-rounded civil engineering professional with broad experience across multiple disciplines.
• Proven experience in Earthworks, Reinforced concrete structures, Associated assets, Roadworks/highways construction.
• Ability to read reinforcement drawings and work across project phases.
• Experience with setting out techniques and basic surveying tools.

Responsibilities

• Support site engineering across earthworks, structures and roadworks.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to progress the project through construction stages.
• Interpret drawings and ensure quality and safety on site.

Candidate Profile

A requirement for a well-rounded civil engineering professional with broad experience across multiple disciplines rather than someone who specialises in a single area.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:

• Earthworks
• Reinforced concrete structures
• Associated assets
• Roadworks/highways construction

The project includes:

• Construction of 10 km of new dual carriageway
• 4.5 km of side roads
• Approximately 1 million m³ of earthworks
• Four major structures incorporating around 12,000 m³ of concrete
• Ongoing assets and roadworks as the project progresses

The earthworks phase is now largely complete, with the project moving into the structures, associated assets, and road construction stages.

They should be comfortable working across different aspects of a large infrastructure project and adapting as the project progresses through its various construction phases.

Location: Inverness

Due to the project's remote location, the ideal candidates will either be based in the Highlands, and /or have a clear understanding of the logistics and commitment required to work in this region and hold a valid driving license
