Job summary

Bureau Technical Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Site Engineer to support civil engineering and construction on a major infrastructure project based in Redcar and Cleveland. The role focuses on setting out, surveying, QA, and coordination with supervision, subcontractors and design teams.

You will ensure drawings, permits and RAMS are in place, manage progress reporting, and support safe, accurate delivery of earthworks, drainage and utilities.

Qualifications

• Previous site engineer experience in civil/construction delivery.
• Experience with underground utilities, drainage and earthworks.
• Competence in setting out and surveying with GPS/total stations/levels.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specs.
• RAMS, Permit to Dig, ITPs and quality documentation knowledge.
• Experience on major infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the senior project team in implementing the engineering strategy and delivery framework.
• Carry out setting out and surveying with GPS, total stations, levels.
• Establish and maintain survey control within the work area.
• Review drawings, specs and schedules before works commence.
• Ensure permits, RAMS, access, plant, labour and inspections are in place.
• Produce weekly and monthly progress and productivity reports.
