Job summary

Linear Recruitment seeks an experienced Site Engineer for a long-term contract in Blyth, Northumberland. You will set out works, check drawings, and support the project team to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have strong surveying experience, good communication, and the ability to read technical drawings, with CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong setting-out and surveying experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• CSCS.
• Experience with relevant surveying equipment and engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Setting out works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Providing engineering support to the Site and Project Management teams.
• Checking drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Carrying out level and dimensional checks.
• Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation.
• Monitoring works to ensure they are completed within required tolerances.
• Liaising with subcontractors and the design team to resolve technical queries.
• Supporting the planning and coordination of site activities.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with health & safety and quality requirements.
