Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Site Engineer in Biddulph to support multiple civil projects. You will set out, survey, and ensure works meet drawings and contract standards, while maintaining records and coordination with teams. Ex-military candidates are strongly encouraged.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience setting out on civil/construction projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.
• Competence with survey instruments (robotic total stations/EDM).
• Strong communication and organisation skills.
• Ex-military candidates with relevant experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Establish survey control, levels and setting-out points across projects.
• Set out construction works per drawings and specs.
• Perform regular checks for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain site records, diaries and allocation sheets.
• Prepare ITPs, briefings and two-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate with Site Agents and procurement for materials.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Promote safe working practices and compliance with HSE requirements.
• Monitor quality and drive value engineering opportunities.
