Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £45 million residential development in Liverpool. The freelance role covers procurement through final account work on RC frame apartment blocks, with external works and finishing packages.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience on large residential schemes, strong cost-control and subcontractor management skills, and the ability to work independently across multiple packages.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major construction projects.
• Strong background in residential developments and apartment blocks.
• Experience with RC frame construction is highly desirable.
• Excellent subcontractor management and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial, contractual and cost-control knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple packages.

• Oversee subcontractor procurement, tendering and package negotiations.
• Manage valuations, variations, payments and cost reporting.

Sphere Solutions are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £45 million residential development in Liverpool.

The project involves the construction of multiple apartment blocks using reinforced concrete (RC) frame, followed by external works and the finishing of the apartments. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong QS with experience delivering large-scale residential or high-rise apartment schemes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account.
