About The Role

EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. We are looking for site engineers to join our Highways and Structures teams based in Southam.

Responsibilities

• Lead on site junior engineers and assist in construction operations in the Southam area.
• Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials in accordance with the required standards, programme and budget.
• Collaborate with the setting‑out team and oversee the performance and development of junior engineers, identifying and resolving technical problems on site with the senior team and Sub‑Agent.
• Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure their work meets the contractual requirements.
• Prepare programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent, working towards institute membership (ICE).
• CSCS card: White, White‑Yellow, Red – Experienced, Black – Manager or Gold – Supervisor.
• Previous highways or structures experience required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
• Experience in highways or heavy structures essential.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to personal vehicle.
