Job summary

Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM (EKFB) is seeking a Site Engineer to join their team in Chipping Warden for civil engineering works on the HS2 project. Candidates should have experience in Highways and Deep Drainage works and must work closely with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to manage resources and ensure project standards.

The successful candidate will hold an HNC/Degree in a Construction/M&E related field, possess a CSCS card, and have a solid understanding of Site Engineering activities.

Qualifications

  • HNC/Degree or equivalent in Construction/M&E related field.
  • CSCS card required.
  • Previous structures experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Site Engineering within highways and deep drainage.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to manage resources.
  • Work with setting out team and M&E Sub-Contractors.
  • Assist with production of programmes and progress reports.
  • Ensure current information and resources for the team.

Job description

Overview

EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

We are looking to recruit a Site Engineer to join our team based in Chipping Warden. The successful candidate will have experience working within Highways and Deep Drainage works and will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out M&E works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out M&E works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
  • Work with the setting out team and be responsible for the performance and development of M&E Sub-Contractors; resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent; coordinate varied contractors and timeframes to ensure smooth delivery in a "just in time" fashion.
  • Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.
  • Ensure the team has current information and resources required to carry out duties.
Qualifications
  • HNC/Degree (Construction/M&E related) or equivalent
  • CSCS card (White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor)
  • Previous structures experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities within highways and deep drainage works
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle
