Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Site Engineer for a civil project in Swindon. The role focuses on setting out roads, drainage and structures, producing as-built drawings and ensuring QA/QC compliance on site.

You will work with GPS and robotic total stations, support permits and safety processes, and liaise with the site team to verify material specifications and progress. A robust on-site discipline is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in setting out roads, structures and drainage on live sites.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and design specs is desirable.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for as-built drawings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure standards meet design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials meeting specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Job description

My client is a long established, leading Civil Engineering Contractor.

They are presently delivering a infrastructure project in Swindon and are looking to add a Site Engineer to their team.

The project comprises section 278 works, drainage, and a new car park.

The Site Engineer will be responsible for setting out, as-builts and quality assurance.

My client has at least 12 months of work on this project and with the possibility of continuous work in the area for the right individual.

CIS or Ltd company payments will be permissible for this assignment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setting out roads, structures and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
