Job description

The Role:

As Site Engineer, you will:

• Provide engineering support to the Site Manager and Project Team on the highways scheme.
• Assist in setting out works, undertaking levelling and measuring, and ensuring accurate construction in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and maintain detailed site records, including daily reports and as-built drawings.
• Monitor progress against the project program and budget.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
• Liaise with other members of the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist in the management of materials and resources on site.
• Identify and report any potential problems or risks to the Site Manager.
• Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.

What We're Looking For:

• A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree).
• Experience working as a Site Engineer on highways schemes. Experience in Edinburgh is desirable but not essential.
• A good understanding of construction techniques and best practice for highway works.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software (e.g., total stations, GPS, AutoCAD).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
