Kenton Black is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer for a major highways and infrastructure project in the Midlands. The role focuses on setting out and surveying civil works, coordinating with the Site Agent and project team to deliver high-quality outputs.
You will read drawings, manage QA/ITP processes, and ensure works meet the required standards while maintaining accurate site records on a complex highway upgrade programme including road widenings and S278 works.
A well-established multi-million pound civils contractor is currently looking for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to join their team on a major highways and infrastructure scheme in the Midlands.
This is a great opportunity for a Site Engineer with a strong background in highways, drainage and general civils, who is looking to work on a varied infrastructure project involving highway upgrades, road widenings, junction improvements and Section 278 works.
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of highways and civils work packages, working closely with the Site Agent, Project Manager and wider engineering team.
The project will involve a range of highways upgrades, road widening works, drainage installations and S278 improvements, giving you exposure to a broad range of civil engineering activities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer within a highways or civil engineering environment.
Candidates with experience working for Tier 1 or established civils contractors will be highly advantageous.
CSCS and relevant engineering/surveying qualifications are required, with SSSTS/SMSTS and highways experience being advantageous
