Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a flagship highways infrastructure project in Swansea. You will set out for highways works, manage QA documentation, review As-Built surveys, and work with Site Agent and Project Manager to meet programme targets.

The role offers a 12-month contract with competitive rates (£350-£420 per shift) and potential for long-term work with a leading civil engineering contractor.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Site Engineer on highways or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of setting out, QA, and surveying procedures.
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Setting out for highways and civil engineering works.
• Managing QA documentation and maintaining accurate site records.
• Producing and reviewing As-Built surveys.
• Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and to specification.
• Liaising with the design team to resolve technical issues.
• Ensuring all works comply with project specifications and health & safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment.
• Strong understanding of setting out, QA, and surveying procedures.
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
