Job summary

Keyman Personnel is seeking a Site Engineer to lead on-site engineering activities for highways and civil infrastructure projects in Bath and surrounding areas. You will set out, provide technical support to site teams, manage QA, and ensure works meet drawings, specs and standards.

You'll coordinate with Site Agents, PMs and subcontractors, maintain site records, produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD, and uphold HSE compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting-out, control and QA procedures.
• Experience with earthworks, drainage and structures.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and as-built record keeping.
• Excellent organization and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with the project programme.
• Provide engineering control, setting out and technical support to site teams.
• Lead quality control processes to ensure all works comply with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across all site activities.
• Assist with the management of the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing permits where required.
• Maintain accurate site records, including site diaries, daily works records, resource allocations and as-built information.
• Produce and update as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, subcontractors and the wider delivery team to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Support the successful delivery of highways and civil engineering projects through effective planning, communication and problem solving.

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering control, setting out and quality assurance procedures.
• Experience working on earthworks, drainage, highways and structures.
• Good understanding of the permit process and CAT scanning.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and maintaining accurate as-built records.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced site environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ambitious, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of work.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
