Job summary

We Are Footprint is hiring a Site Engineer – Groundworks to support a busy North West groundworks contractor. The role focuses on setting out groundworks, infrastructure, roads and drainage, working from drawings and specifications on residential housing developments.

You'll be responsible for checking levels and coordinates, QA checks, and collaborating with the site team and subcontractors. Experience in housing and CSCS qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Site engineering experience in housing sector is essential.
• Strong experience with roads, sewers and drainage.
• Able to read construction drawings.
• CSCS and engineering qualifications.

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a busy groundworks contractor working across the North West.

The role will suit someone with a strong background in residential housing developments, particularly with roads, sewers and general infrastructure works.

The role:

• Setting out groundworks and infrastructure works
• Roads, sewers, drainage and associated infrastructure
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Checking levels, coordinates and line/level
• Supporting the Site Manager and wider site team
• Carrying out QA checks and keeping accurate records
• Working closely with subcontractors and groundworks teams

Looking for:

• Previous Site Engineering experience within the housing sector – essential
• Strong experience with roads, sewers and drainage
• Confident setting out using surveying equipment
• Able to read and understand construction drawings
• Good understanding of groundworks and residential development
• CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications
