Job summary

We Are Footprint is recruiting a Site Engineer for a busy groundworks contractor across the North West. The role focuses on residential housing development projects with roads, sewers and related infrastructure.

You will set out works, check levels and coordinates, and support the Site Manager and site team. The ideal candidate has strong setting-out experience, surveying equipment proficiency, and the ability to read construction drawings.

Qualifications

• Setting out using surveying equipment.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings.
• Experience with QA checks and record-keeping.
• Strong groundworks knowledge, especially roads, sewers and drainage.

Responsibilities

• Setting out groundworks and infrastructure works.

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a busy groundworks contractor working across the North West.

The role will suit someone with a strong background in residential housing developments, particularly with roads, sewers and general infrastructure works.

The role:

• Setting out groundworks and infrastructure works
• Roads, sewers, drainage and associated infrastructure
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Checking levels, coordinates and line/level
• Supporting the Site Manager and wider site team
• Carrying out QA checks and keeping accurate records
• Working closely with subcontractors and groundworks teams

Looking for:

• Previous Site Engineering experience within the housing sector – essential
• Strong experience with roads, sewers and drainage
• Confident setting out using surveying equipment
• Able to read and understand construction drawings
• Good understanding of groundworks and residential development
• CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications
