Qualifications
- Experience in civil/rail infrastructure projects is required.
- Knowledge of setting out techniques and surveying equipment is essential.
- Understanding QA/QC processes within construction is expected.
- Experience supporting day-to-day delivery and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong health and safety awareness on construction sites.
- Ability to communicate effectively with site teams and management.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of rail and civil engineering projects from design through to completion.
- Conduct setting out activities and ensure works meet design requirements.
- Assist with QA/QC processes, including inspections and record keeping.
- Support health, safety and environmental standards on site.
- Assist with day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities.
- Work with Site Managers, Senior Engineers and subcontractors for efficient delivery.
- Monitor site progress and assist with planning and problem solving.
- Support management of supply chain partners and subcontractors.
- Ensure engineering and assurance documentation is completed and kept up to date.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities on site.

- Support the delivery of rail and civil engineering projects from design through to completion.
- Conduct setting out activities and ensure works are delivered in accordance with design requirements.
- Assist with quality assurance and quality control processes, including inspections and record keeping.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
- Assist with the day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities.
- Work closely with Site Managers, Senior Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor site progress and contribute to planning and problem-solving activities.
- Support the management and coordination of supply chain partners and subcontractors.
- Ensure all engineering and assurance documentation is completed accurately and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities across site operations.
- Experience within civil engineering, rail engineering, or related infrastructure projects.
- Engineering and assurance experience gained on rail, civil engineering, or similar construction schemes.
- Knowledge of setting out techniques and associated surveying equipment.
- An understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes within a construction environment.
- Experience supporting the day-to-day delivery of site works and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across site teams.
- An initiative-taking approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- An HNC (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A desire to work towards or continue progression towards a professional qualification, such as ICE membership.
