Morgan Sindall Infrastructure Bristol is seeking an experienced Site Agent to lead the delivery of railway station construction works on the Metrowest project. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality and programme milestones are met.

This role demands strong leadership, excellent organisational skills and a clear commercial focus to drive performance, manage stakeholders and maintain high standards of workmanship on site.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • Appointed Person (AP) qualification.
  • MICE chartership would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of railway station construction activities on site.
  • Coordinating site operations to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution.
  • Managing subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour resources.
  • Supporting the Project Manager in achieving objectives and milestones.

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Agent to join our Rail team and take a leading role in the delivery of a significant new phase of works on the Metrowest project. This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional with proven railway station experience to lead the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of works on site. As the construction lead for a key railway station project, you will play a pivotal role in managing programme, quality, commercial performance and stakeholder relationships while ensuring successful project outcomes. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities, leading site teams and driving performance across all aspects of delivery.

About The Role

As Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of railway station construction works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, to programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Experience
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working as a Site Agent within a rail environment.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering railway station construction projects.
  • Strong project management and site leadership skills.
  • Experience managing quality assurance and quality management processes.
  • Sound commercial awareness with a strong understanding of cost and contract management.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects safely, on programme and within budget.
Qualifications & Certifications
