Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a flagship highways scheme in Swansea on a 12-month contract. You will deliver setting out, QA documentation, and As-Built surveys, while coordinating with the Site Agent and Project Manager to meet programme targets on site.

You'll work closely with the design team to resolve technical issues, supervise subcontractors, and ensure works comply with safety and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer on highways or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with Leica and Trimble surveying equipment.
• Competent using AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of setting out, QA, and surveying procedures.
• CSCS Card essential.
• Full UK driving licence.
• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable.

• Managing QA documentation and maintaining accurate site records.
• Producing and reviewing As-Built surveys.
• Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to ensure programme targets are achieved.
• Supervising subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely and to specification.
• Liaising with the design team to resolve technical issues.
• Ensuring all works comply with project specifications and health & safety requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major highways or infrastructure projects.
• Proficient with Leica and/or Trimble surveying equipment.
• Competent using AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of setting out, QA, and surveying procedures.
• CSCS Card (essential).
• SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
• Full UK driving licence.
