Job summary

Matchtech seeks an experienced Site Engineer for a car park scheme in Chorley. You will set out works, interpret drawings, and maintain accurate site records to support timely delivery. The role requires QA discipline, safety awareness, and coordination with subcontractors to meet project milestones.

Candidate should have CSCS, with SMSTS/SSSTS desirable, and be comfortable on a short-term site assignment near Preston. Dayshift, duration seven weeks, in Chorley.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer on civil/infrastructure projects.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SMSTS/SSSTS desirable.
• Strong QA/documentation understanding.

• Setting out works using GPS and total station equipment.
• Interpreting drawings and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.
• Managing quality assurance procedures, inspections and test plans (ITPs).
• Monitoring construction activities and reporting progress.

• Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained.

Rate: £375-£400

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of a car park construction scheme in Chorley. Working alongside the site management team, you will be responsible for setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.

• Setting out works using GPS and total station equipment.
• Interpreting drawings and ensuring works are delivered to specification.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.
