Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is recruiting for an EHS Supervisor to be based at a major site in the North of England. The role blends hands-on site leadership with strategic EHS influence and regulatory compliance, driving a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities include leading EHS programmes, delivering training, managing ISO systems, and coordinating with plant leadership to embed continuous improvement across environmental, health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years' EHS/QHSE or safety experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental and safety regulations (air, water, waste).
• Experience delivering EHS training and influencing operational teams.
• Professional health & safety or environmental certification.
• Experience maintaining ISO management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise EHS programmes with site leadership and central EHS functions.
• Provide visible EHS leadership through site inspections, audits and reviews.
• Ensure full compliance with UK environmental, health and safety legislation.
• Develop and implement site-specific EHS strategies, objectives and KPIs.
• Deliver engaging EHS training for employees, contractors and leadership teams.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions; drive continuous improvement.
