Job summary

Trant Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Site Civil Engineer for Reading and the Thames Water region. You will contribute to on-site delivery of civil works, earthworks, drainage, and associated infrastructure, ensuring safety, programme adherence, and compliance with design specifications.

The role involves liaising with project managers, site teams, and external parties to deliver high-quality outcomes. You will supervise civil works, interpret drawings, and support setting out and verification on

Qualifications

Site safety certification (CSCS) or willingness to obtain.
Experience reading civil drawings, specifications and method statements.
Experience coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site teams.
Experience delivering works to health, safety, quality and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Supervise and inspect civil works including earthworks, foundations, drainage, and structures.
Review and interpret drawings, specifications, method statements and programmes.
Assist setting out and verification of civil works on site.
Identify, report and resolve technical issues or design discrepancies.
Coordinate with project managers and site teams to meet programme and standards.
Support commissioning and handover of civil infrastructure.
