Job summary

Trant Engineering is seeking a Site Civil Engineer for Reading and Thames Water region. You will oversee on-site civil works, including earthworks, drainage and foundations, ensuring quality, safety and compliance with design specifications.

Join a leading EPC contractor delivering water, wastewater and energy infrastructure. You will liaise with project managers, design teams and subcontractors, mentoring junior staff and supporting project handover.

Qualifications

• Site safety certification (CSCS) or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in earthworks, drainage, foundations, structures, and setting out on civil projects.
• Experience reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Experience coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site teams.
• Experience working to health, safety, quality and environmental standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect civil works including earthworks, foundations, drainage, retaining structures and concrete/steel works.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and construction programmes.
• Support setting out and verification of civil works on site.
• Coordinate with project managers, site managers and design teams to support delivery.
