Job summary

Natta Building Company Ltd is recruiting an ambitious Site Setting Out Engineer to join the on-site project team in Harlow. You will be an experienced setting out engineer with site-based exposure to varied civil works, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Join a developing site team and contribute to long-term works, with a pathway to internal promotions and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in site surveying and setting out.
• Proficiency with Auto CAD 2D, GNSS and Leica total stations.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the site's primary control network.
• Procure and deliver setting-out information on site and undertake surveys.
• Ensure works meet high standards to reduce snags and promote repeat work from clients.
• Manage site staff and provide technical advice as required.
• Basic site management including client interaction.
• Attend site meetings and report progress.
• Liaise with the project manager on other issues.

Job description

Due to planned growth, we are recruiting an ambitious Site Setting Out Engineer to join our existing project team onsite in Harlow . You will be joining a successful and developing site team on the new phase of long-term works. You will be an experienced setting out engineer with site-based experience with exposure to varied civil engineering projects. Natta can provide training and educational support as well as a clear career progression for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• To design and maintain site’s primary control network
• To deliver procure and deliver setting out information on site / undertake surveys
• To ensure that works are to a high standard, to reduce snags and to further the opportunity of repeat work from clients.
• To manage site staff and provide technical advice/assistance where required
• Basic Site management including client interaction
• Attend site meetings and report on progress
• Liaising with the project manager on any other issues

Requirements

• Civil engineering degree (ideally) or HND/HNC Qualification or Equivalent
• Surveying or engineering background and experience
• Proficient in Auto CAD 2D, Microsoft Office, Leica total stations (1-man kit) and GNSS equipment, Levelling equipment
• Ideally, but not essential - experience working with the latest Trimble GPS modelling for excavators
• CSCS card – SMSTS/SSSTS – First Aid - (ideal but not essential – TWS/TWC, CSCS Gold and above, confined spaces,)
• Full UK driving licence – essential
• Right to work in the UK - all documents will be checked
