Job summary

Nicholas Associates is recruiting a Site Engineer to join a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor operating as a sub-contractor for major Tier 1 Contractors. The role covers projects around the Bedfordshire area and involves setting out, drawing analysis, GPS usage, and liaising with the Project Manager and site team.

The ideal candidate will have experience setting out on groundworks and civil projects, familiarity with Leica total station and AutoCAD, and hold a valid full

Qualifications

• Setting out experience in groundworks, civil engineering or roads.
• Experience using Leica total station.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for drawing analysis and checking.

Responsibilities

• Accurate setting out and drawing analysis for groundworks; roads, sewers, kerbs and foundations.
• Reading drawings and interpreting GPS coordinates for site tasks.
• Communicating with the Project Manager and site team.
• Conducting Quality Assurance checks on site work.
• Setting out for all elements of groundworks and civil works.

Job description

Our client is an leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor. Operating as a sub-contractor for major Tier 1 Contractors. Due to new work, the company are recruiting for a Site Engineer to join their team.

Covering projects around the Bedfordshire area, your duties will include:

• Accurate setting out, drawing analysis and reading drawings.
• Using GPS coordinates quickly and accurately
• Communication with the Project Manager and site team
• Quality Assurance work
• Setting out for all elements of groundworks; roads, sewers, kerbs, foundations

Site Engineer Experience required:

• Previous experience setting out on groundworks, civil engineering, roads, utilities
• Previous use of Leica total station
• AutoCAD
