Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a skilled Chargehand to oversee a team of site operatives on infrastructure projects. You will act as a working supervisor, bridging the gap between site management and the hands-on workforce, ensuring daily construction activities are carried out safely and to specifications.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, performing hands-on tasks, enforcing health and safety regulations, monitoring quality, managing resources, and reporting

Qualifications

• Supervisory or senior operative experience in infrastructure, civil engineering, or construction.
• Proven ability to read construction drawings and interpret site instructions.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for directing a hands-on workforce.

Responsibilities

• Direct, motivate and supervise a team of site operatives to meet deadlines.
• Hands-on construction and maintenance tasks when required.
• Enforce health and safety regulations, PPE usage and toolbox talks.
• Monitor workmanship quality against drawings, specs and standards.
• Coordinate materials, tools and plant on-site and report shortages or maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed, hours and delays, and report to Site Manager.
