Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a skilled Chargehand to oversee and assist a team on our infrastructure projects. You will bridge the gap between site management and the labor force, ensuring that daily tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.

You will provide hands-on leadership, monitor progress, and ensure all necessary materials and tools are available to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to delegate and communicate effectively.
• Valid safety certifications (CSCS, SSSTS, or equivalent) and understanding of site safety regulations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot on-site challenges.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, motivate, and supervise a team on-site, assigning daily tasks and ensuring completion on schedule.
• Hands-on Support: Work alongside the team to assist with manual and technical tasks as required.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce health, safety and environmental policies and PPE usage.
• Quality Control: Monitor work quality to meet project specs and codes.
• Resource Management: Coordinate tools, equipment, and materials to minimize downtime.
• Reporting: Liaise between site supervisor/manager and workforce with progress updates.
