Job summary

Aureos Infrastructure Services Limited is seeking a skilled Chargehand Linesman to lead our overhead line construction and maintenance team. You will blend hands-on technical work with supervision to ensure safe installation, repair and maintenance of power lines and distribution systems.

Qualifications

Fully qualified overhead linesman with recognized industry certifications.
Valid heavy vehicle driving license (HGV/LGV) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in overhead line construction and maintenance, with 1–2 years in a chargehand or lead-hand capacity.
Deep working knowledge of HV and LV overhead line systems, live-line procedures, and rigging/slinging techniques.
Strong supervisory and communication skills for reporting and client liaison.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and motivate a team on-site, assigning daily tasks and monitoring progress to meet project timelines.
Supervise installation, tensioning, sagging, and termination of overhead conductors and line hardware.
Enforce health and safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure PPE usage.
Inspect work against specifications and maintain daily logs, progress reports, and timesheets.
Diagnose faults and coordinate rapid-response repairs during outages or emergencies.
Coordinate logistics of tools, vehicles, and materials on-site.
