Job summary

Simulation Solutions is seeking a Calibration Engineer (site based) to be permanently assigned to a key customer site in Leeds. You will calibrate and verify medical simulators, ensuring accuracy, safety and ISO/ASTM compliance.

The role collaborates with the customer’s lab, engineering and quality teams and requires strong technical ability, detail orientation and professional conduct. The successful candidate will manage calibration records, schedules and non-conformance processes, with

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in mechanical, electrical, electronic, mechatronic or instrumentation engineering (apprenticeship, HNC/HND or degree level).
• Practical experience in calibration, servicing, maintenance, commissioning or testing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and scheduled calibration of medical simulators and measurement systems.
• Calibrate parameters such as load, torque, displacement, position, temperature, flow and speed.
• Ensure calibration activities use traceable reference equipment and ISO/ASTM standards.
• Interpret results and determine if equipment meets tolerances and performance criteria.
• Make mechanical, electrical or software adjustments as needed.
• Complete post-calibration checks and maintain traceable records/certificates.
• Monitor schedules and ensure timely calibration within required timelines.
• Identify equipment outside specification and follow non-conformance processes.
