Simulation Solutions in Leeds seeks a Calibration Engineer to be site-based at a key customer facility. You will calibrate, verify and support medical simulators, ensuring accuracy, safety and ISO/ASTM compliance. The role requires strong technical ability and independent time management within a customer-facing environment.

The position emphasizes traceable calibration records, fault-finding and close collaboration with customer teams to maintain performance and qualification documentation.

Qualifications

• Qualified in mechanical, electrical, electronic, mechatronic or instrumentation engineering (apprenticeship, HNC/HND or degree).
• Experience calibrating, servicing or testing equipment with traceable references.
• Ability to read technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experience producing calibration records or service documentation.
• Strong fault-finding and independent workload management.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned calibration of medical simulators and measurement systems.
• Calibrate parameters such as load, torque, displacement, temperature and speed.
• Use traceable reference equipment and follow ISO/ASTM standards.
• Interpret results and ensure equipment meets tolerances and performance.
• Make mechanical, electrical or software adjustments as needed.
• Maintain calibration records and certificates with traceability.
• Monitor schedules and address out-of-spec equipment.
