Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is supporting a leading international manufacturing organisation with the appointment of a Senior HR Advisor to take ownership of HR activity at a large site in Willenhall, near Wolverhampton. The role is full-time and site-based, requiring regular presence on the shop floor with a strong emphasis on employee relations and employment law.

You will advise operational leaders, manage HR activity for around 450 employees, collaborate with Trade Union representatives, and

Qualifications

• Strong generalist HR advisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation.
• Experience working with a recognised Trade Union and an understanding of effective employee/union relations.
• Experience supporting or contributing to organisational change programmes.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work on a site-based manufacturing environment and engage on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR contact for operational leaders, supervisors and employees.
• Manage a broad range of employee relations matters, ensuring policies are applied consistently and fairly.
• Collaborate with Trade Union representatives and Health & Safety colleagues.
• Provide pragmatic HR advice on operational people issues and support managers to resolve matters.
• Support recruitment processes and headcount data management.
• Monitor HR KPIs and provide insights to operational leadership.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and training activity.
