Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Geotechnical or Section Geotechnical Engineer to join its Ground Engineering team. Based from Kilsyth office in Glasgow, the role is predominantly site-based across Scotland with travel to the North of England and Midlands as required.

You will provide geotechnical expertise, ensure safety and engineering standards, and support project teams to achieve quality, programme and performance objectives while travel and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering geotechnical works and supervising project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication at all levels.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding progress and developments.
• Write and maintain HSQE documentation.
• Supervise and manage safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to high technical standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Client, supply chain and third parties.
• Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards on site.
• Keep accurate records of site activities and forecast resources for projects.
• Relate project and business goals to the project team to boost engagement.
