Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join its Ground Engineering team in Scotland, based from the Kilsyth office. The role is predominantly site-based with regular travel across Scotland and occasional stays away from home.

You will provide senior technical leadership, oversee project delivery, ensure safety and engineering standards, and mentor the project team to deliver complex ground engineering solutions across a diverse infrastructure portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering geotechnical works and managing project teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication at all levels.
• RoGEP, professional membership, CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, PTS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain open lines of communication with the Geotechnical team regarding progress.
• Supervision & management of the safe, efficient delivery of geotechnical works to an excellent technical standard.
• Supervise & mentor the project team as appropriate to develop others.
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Client, the supply chain and third parties.
• Maintain high levels of personal safety and environmental standards, implementing safe systems of work on site.
• Monitoring of project costs & reporting changes internally and to the Client.
• Awareness of project and business goals and relay these to the project team to increase workforce engagement.
