Job summary

NRL is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical / Process) to join a major infrastructure project in Bridgwater, Somerset. You will plan, prepare and execute commissioning activities, ensuring systems are tested and handed over safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will work with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to meet safety, quality and performance standards, while supervising contractors and maintaining rigorous health and safety

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and process engineering knowledge.
• Previous commissioning, testing or site-engineering experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, SharePoint and Adobe applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commissioning documentation and test specifications.
• Plan and own commissioning test programmes.
• Lead site commissioning and testing activities.
• Supervise contractors and ensure safe, efficient work.
• Analyse test results and support issue resolution.
• Provide technical support to milestones and delivery objectives.
• Support contractual testing and acceptance activities.
