Job summary

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical / Process) for a permanent, full-time role in Bridgwater, Somerset. The successful candidate will plan, prepare and execute commissioning activities, ensuring safe, verified handover of systems on a major infrastructure project.

You will report to the Commissioning Manager and collaborate with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to meet safety, quality and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and process engineering knowledge.
• Experience in commissioning, testing or site engineering.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain commissioning documentation and test specs.
• Plan and own allocated commissioning test programmes.
• Lead and support site commissioning and testing activities.
• Supervise contractors to ensure safe and efficient work.
• Analyse test results and resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical expertise to support milestones and delivery.
