Job summary

Samuel Ryder Academy in St Albans is seeking a Site Assistant to join our premises team and help maintain the school buildings and grounds to the highest standard. The role involves practical indoor and outdoor work alongside students, staff and visitors, with 37 hours per week all year round.

Training will be provided, and you will be supported by the Scholars’ Education Trust. Starting ASAP, you should be proactive, reliable and willing to learn.

Qualifications

• Must have good practical skills, a proactive attitude, and an interest in maintaining school buildings and grounds to the highest standard.
• Must enjoy working indoors and outdoors alongside young people, staff and visitors.
• Be trained as, or be willing to be trained as a minibus driver.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable; most important is a positive and hardworking attitude and willingness to learn.

Site Assistant

37 hours per week - All year round (52 weeks per year)

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 12.00 - 20.00, Friday 11.00 - 18.30

Salary Scale: H3

Actual salary: £26,312 per annum
