Robert May’s School is seeking a hardworking Site Assistant to join the Estates team. The role involves maintaining and securing premises, carrying out minor repairs and decorating, and supporting hirers of the turf pitch and other facilities.
The successful candidate will work a 37-hour week in a rotating shift pattern, may include early mornings/evenings and some weekends, with training provided in safety and, if needed, minibus operation. A collaborative environment supports staff wellbeing.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake regular training to help them to fulfil their role successfully and to comply with health and safety standards. It is anticipated that the Site Assistant would also be willing to undertake training to drive the school’s minibus.
The role may also include working at heights and some lifting. Previous experience is desirable (building trade or good DIY skills would be an advantage) but training will be provided.
Community lettings of our artificial turf pitch and other facilities are very popular. The successful applicant will be a key contact for our hirers and other community members.
The post is full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Working hours form part of a rotating shift pattern (including early morning or evening hours) and occasional weekend hours may be required.
