Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Site Agent to lead a defined section of civil infrastructure works on a major project in the Suffolk area. You will be responsible for planning, delivery, and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time performance on site.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience as Site Agent, Senior Engineer or similar in civil/infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with a proactive mindset.
  • SMSTS & CSCS certification.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of planning, programming, and delivery of your section of works.
  • Produce and monitor construction programmes and progress reports.
  • Manage cost plans and oversee contractual elements of the project.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and third parties to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Lead on health, safety, environment, and quality compliance.
  • Review RAMS, ITPs, and engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Works Managers to meet key milestones.
  • Ensure efficient and high-quality handover of completed works.

Are you a Site Agent or Senior Engineer looking to build a long-term career in civil engineering on major infrastructure projects? Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a Site Agent to join their delivery team on a long-term infrastructure project. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering complex and rewarding works, while progressing your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

As Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for managing a section of works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You'll be empowered to lead from the front, driving a 'right first time' culture while contributing to the long-term success of the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of planning, programming, and delivery of your section of works

About You
