Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Site Agent for a major highways infrastructure project in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. You will lead on-site operations from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, programme adherence and budget control.

The role requires strong NEC contract knowledge, a proven ability to coordinate earthworks, drainage, structures and roadworks, and the capacity to manage subcontractors and plant resources while reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent, Senior Site Agent, or Sub Agent on highways or major civil projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Ability to lead site teams and coordinate with engineers and commercial teams.

Site Agent - Highways Project

Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major highways infrastructure project in the Kings Lynn area. Working with a leading Tier 1 contractor, you will play a key role in the safe and successful delivery of a significant highways scheme, managing site operations from planning through to completion.

The Role

• Lead and manage day-to-day site operations on a live highways project.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Manage subcontractors, direct labour and plant resources.
• Coordinate construction activities including earthworks, drainage, structures and roadworks.
• Monitor progress and provide regular reporting to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Work closely with engineers, commercial teams and stakeholders to drive project performance.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Agent, Senior Site Agent or Sub Agent on highways or major civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing earthworks, drainage, highways, structures or bridge works.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
• Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
