United Utilities has awarded Costain a new Managed Service Provider (MSP) framework contract. Under this contract, Costain manages and delivers United Utilities’ large-scale water and wastewater asset maintenance activities across its network, including 96 water treatment and 575 wastewater treatment sites, serving over six million people in the North West of England.

The Site Agent will develop key relationships with UU operational personnel and supply chain partners, promoting a team-oriented environment. They will act as the site-based lead for MSP on their projects.

Responsibilities

• Leading the site team, fostering a positive SHEQ culture, and promoting improvement initiatives.
• Identifying site resource needs and coordinating with the Project Manager.
• Reporting project performance, SHEQ, time, and cost monthly for performance reviews.
• Seeking efficiencies and resolving blockers/issues, escalating as needed.
• Ensuring SHEQ compliance with the Framework HASEMP and management plan.
• Collaborating with colleagues, teams, and clients to build supportive relationships.
• Managing project handovers, stakeholder relationships, and customer impacts.
• Contributing to monthly cost and programme forecasts.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC 3 Contract and Subcontract, Electrical Bias.
• SMSTS, CSCS card.
• Proven site management and team leadership skills.
• Understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office and document control systems.
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
