Job summary

VolkerStevin is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join our energy business, delivering major National Grid transmission and substation projects across the UK.

You will lead on-site teams, ensure safety, programme delivery and commercial success, coordinating engineering, construction, supply chain and QA to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Site Agent, Agent or senior delivery professional on major infrastructure or energy projects.
• Experience working within live 275kV or 400kV substation environments.
• Knowledge of National Grid safety rules and assurance frameworks.
• Professional membership with ICE, CIOB or APM.
• Temporary Works Coordinator and/or Appointed Person competence.
• IOSH or NEBOSH health and safety qualifications
• Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and change management processes.
• SMSTS and an appropriate CSCS/EUSR management card.
• Excellent planning, programme management and leadership skills.
• The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships.

• Provide visible leadership on site, coordinating engineering, construction, supply chain and quality teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and to high standards.

• Lead and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results.
