Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Sub Agent to deliver a major National Grid substation project. You will lead engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to safely complete civil, structural and electrical interface works to programme, budget and quality expectations.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Agent, you will own key work packages and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• SMSTS certification.
• CSCS or EUSR CSCS management card.
• Temporary Works Supervisor competence.
• First Aid at Work qualification.

About you

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys leading teams to achieve exceptional results.

You'll bring:

• A Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or similar role within major infrastructure, utilities or energy projects.
• SMSTS certification.
• Relevant CSCS or EUSR CSCS management card.
• Temporary Works Supervisor competence.
• First Aid at Work qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong experience managing programmes, RAMS, ITPs, subcontractors and project change.

• Experience delivering projects within live operational environments and planned outage programmes.
