Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to lead clean water infrastructure schemes around Chester for a leading civil engineering contractor.

The role covers planning through to completion with a hands-on approach, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence on major water projects across the North West.

You will coordinate with clients, manage programs, resources and site teams, and drive productivity while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent in water, utilities or civil engineering sectors.
• Experience delivering clean water projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on clean water projects.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure works meet health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Oversee project programmes and monitor progress against targets.
• Manage client relationships and attend site meetings.
• Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting and documentation.
• Support commercial teams with project costing and forecasting.
• Drive productivity and maintain high standards across site activities.

Site Agent - Clean Water Projects

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering clean water infrastructure projects across the Chester area for United Utilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on Site Agent with a background in water, utilities, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects to take ownership of schemes from planning through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations on clean water projects.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Oversee project programmes and monitor progress against targets.
• Manage client relationships and attend site meetings.
• Ensure accurate record keeping, reporting, and documentation.
• Support commercial teams with project costing and forecasting.
• Drive productivity and maintain high standards across all site activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Site Agent within the water, utilities, or civil engineering sector.
• Experience delivering clean water projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and CDM regulations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage programmes, resources, and project delivery.
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
• HNC/HND or degree qualification in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
