Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group at Coupar Angus is seeking an Accountant to join the site finance team, providing accurate reporting and analysis to support decisions.

You'll work on weekly and monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, journals and costings, with a path toward Management or Financial Accountant roles in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or actively studying.
• Experience in finance or management accounts, manufacturing/FMCG preferred.
• Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Willingness to progress toward senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in weekly and monthly management accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate costings and monitor production performance.
• Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an Accountant to join our team at our Coupar Angus site - a key part of our poultry business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll support the site's finance function with accurate reporting, analysis, and insight, while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of management accounting.

Working closely with finance and operational teams, you'll play an important role in supporting decision-making, driving performance, and ensuring financial accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting fundamentals who is ready to grow into a future Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate costings and monitor production performance
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational decision-making
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement within the finance function

About You

You'll be a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. You'll have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to challenge and support colleagues across the business.

Key Skills and Qualifications
