Overview

Join Our Finance Team at The Compleat Food Group! We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join us on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, at our site in Bristol. This role requires an operationally driven Management Accountant to provide detailed reporting and analysis of site financial performance and to assist the team in the continual development and enhancement of projects and performance measures aligned with business requirements.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial data and produce meaningful financial reports to support business decision-making.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts in line with agreed reporting deadlines.
• Analyse financial performance against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Review and highlight key financial trends, risks and opportunities.
• Investigate site variances to budget and forecast, providing insight into performance and recommending corrective actions.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and financial controls.
• Drive efficiencies through improved use of systems, data and reporting tools.
• Support finance transformation and process improvement projects where required.
• Provision of meaningful financial analysis and performance insight.
• Identification and communication of key business risks, opportunities and performance trends.
• Delivery of financial information that supports effective decision-making.
• Quality and clarity of financial analysis and recommendations.
• Identification of key performance drivers and corrective actions.
• Delivery against reporting deadlines.

Skills and Experience

• Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW etc)
• Advanced Excel and ERP skills
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Great communicator and comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive, organised and able to flexibly meet deadlines with drive to deliver results
• FMCG or manufacturing experience is essential
