Job summary

Lusona Consultancy are partnering with a Glasgow-based manufacturing client to recruit a hands-on Management Accountant. This fully office-based role sits in Renfrewshire and offers a competitive salary with strong career development in a growing business.

Qualifications

• This role requires qualified or part-qualified accountant status (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong management accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG or sales of goods.
• Excellent Excel skills with attention to detail and analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and variance analysis to support performance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and audit preparation.
• Provide financial insight to operational management to drive efficiency and cost control.
• Continuously review processes and systems to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with our client in the Manufacturing sector as they recruit for a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing business, playing a key role within the finance function and supporting the wider operations team. Our client are a growing and successful business with multiple acquisitions in the past year. Our client are an ambitious and commercially focused organisation looking for someone to grow their career over the longer term. The role is fully office-based in Glasgow and ideal for a hands-on accountant who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working as part of a collaborative team. This role would suit a Part/Newly qualified looking for their next move in a varied commercial environment.

This role offers a competitive salary of £43,000 - £50,000 per annum plus 34 days annual leave, free parking and early finish every Friday.

Key duties will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
• Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support business performance.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations.
• Supporting with year-end statutory accounts and audit preparation.
• Providing financial insight to operational management to drive efficiency and cost control.

About You:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Strong management accounting experience, ideally with a background in manufacturing, FMCG or sale of goods.
• Excellent Excel skills with strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Hands-on, proactive, and confident in communicating with non-finance stakeholders.
• A team player who thrives in a busy, fast-paced setting.
