Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is recruiting an Accountant for the Coupar Angus site, offering a pathway to future senior finance roles within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will support reporting, analysis and insight across the site’s finance function while developing hands-on experience in management accounting and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant or actively studying (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in finance or management accounts, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in weekly and monthly management accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain costings and monitor production performance.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Provide financial insight to support decisions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement within finance.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an Accountant to join our team at our Coupar Angus site - a key part of our poultry business. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll support the site's finance function with accurate reporting, analysis, and insight, while gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of management accounting.

Working closely with finance and operational teams, you'll play an important role in supporting decision-making, driving performance, and ensuring financial accuracy. This role is ideal for someone with solid accounting fundamentals who is ready to grow into a future Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts
• Support with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Maintain accurate costings and monitor production performance
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support operational decision-making
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
• Support continuous improvement within the finance function

About You

You’ll be a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys working in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. You’ll have strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to challenge and support colleagues across the business.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / equivalent) or actively studying
• Previous experience in a finance or management accounts role (manufacturing or FMCG preferred)
