An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 6 Sister to join the vascular surgical team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care in a busy vascular surgical unit while working alongside a strong, multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on developing and implementing patient care programmes in partnership with the team, ensuring seamless service delivery across organizational boundaries.

The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Sister to join the vascular surgical team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Ward 26 is currently a busy 28 bedded mixed sex vascular surgical unit, supporting patients with complex vascular conditions. It has a multidisciplinary focus and works alongside the teams in Leg Ulcer Clinic and outpatients.
Through the West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) the below five Trusts have agreed an ambitious programme to create a shared single vascular service to provide safe, effective, patient focused, outstanding care across West Yorkshire in the form of the West Yorkshire Vascular Service (WYVaS). This dynamic and ambitious move will make us one of the largest vascular services in the country covering 2.4m people and include the services currently provided by:
Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (ANHSFT)
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (BTHFT)
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT)
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT)
Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (MYHT)
Main duties of the jobApplicants will be required to help the service to further develop and deliver a high quality service as well as provide compassionate and individual care. The appointee will work alongside a strong, cohesive, and well established team. Our work to develop a true single service is testament to our commitment to this innovative change, development of new ways of working, and the strength of relationships.
The applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to provide an effective and high quality patient focused service, with a clear understanding of the issues in relation to the management of vascular patients.
You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient centred care; ensuring patients receive seamless care in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team both across organisational and professional boundaries.
Applicants will develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care and work within national policy frameworks and guidelines, which are relevant to the patient group and specialty area.
