Job overview

Ward F7 at the Wythenshawe site of Manchester Foundation trust are currently looking to recruit 1 permanent band 6 sister/charge nurse to our elective surgical ward.

This exciting opportunity is open to band 5's that are aspiring to take the next step and learn new skills. current band 6's and 7's are also welcome to apply to to join our welcoming ward on F7 and learn new things on elective surgery!

Our general surgical directorate has a reputation for the highest standards of clinical care.

Currently the ward looks after inpatient elective and emergency patients with a range of Plastics, ENT, Maxfax and Urology

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a suitably experienced nurse who is passionate about patient safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care to our elective surgical patients.

You will be an aspiring leader with the ability to adopt a highly accessible and visible approach for patients, relatives and colleagues. You will assist the Ward Manager with the operational management for the team working on the Ward. You will have the ability to develop a culture of continuous improvement with a particular emphasis on the patient journey and clinical outcomes.
